In Memorium: Jason Kuklinski

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our friend and colleague, Jason Kuklinski.
Jason was much more than a valued member of the Norris Design team. He was a trusted leader, mentor, collaborator, and friend whose influence will be felt for generations through the communities he helped shape and the people he helped grow.
Over his 20 years with Norris Design, Jason played a pivotal role in building and leading the Arizona public sector practice. Through his talent, dedication, and passion for creating meaningful places, he left a lasting mark on communities across Arizona and beyond. One project that brought him particular pride was his contribution to the City of Tucson's Million Trees initiative, an effort recognized nationally and presented by the Mayor of Tucson Regina Romero to President Joe Biden. His legacy can also be seen in the many parks, neighborhoods, streetscapes, and public spaces throughout Arizona that will continue to serve and inspire communities for years to come.
Yet those who knew Jason will remember him most for who he was behind the scenes. Jason put his heart into his team, his office, and the people around him. He was a humble leader who was always the first to celebrate the successes of others, often stepping back from the spotlight to ensure his team received the recognition they deserved. He worked shoulder to shoulder with colleagues at every level, generously sharing his time, experience, and encouragement to help others achieve their goals.
Jason's leadership was defined not by titles, but by his compassion, integrity, and unwavering commitment to those around him. He brought perspective during challenges, optimism during uncertainty, and a sense of humor that could lighten any room. His ability to connect with people made a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Reflecting on Jason's impact, Norris Design Partner and longtime friend Stacey Weaks shared:
"Jason shaped our Tucson office over his 20 years with Norris Design. We are fortunate for Jason's leadership and commitment to design, demonstrated by a legacy of projects across Arizona and beyond. Over the years, we navigated an evolving market and developed a strong team in Tucson and Arizona poised for success that Jason put all his heart into. Thank you, Jason. You will be missed greatly, and none more than by his wife, Sonja."
Our hearts are with Jason's wife Sonja, family, friends, colleagues, and all who knew and loved him. While we mourn his loss, we celebrate a life defined by service, leadership, generosity, and friendship. Jason's legacy lives on in the communities he helped build, the teams he inspired, and the countless lives he touched.
He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever part of the Norris Design community.
