Climate change and biodiversity loss are shaping Arizona’s landscapes in real ways, from hotter temperaturesand prolonged drought to declining native plant and wildlife populations. As landscape architects andstewards of the land, we see how design can either contribute to these problems or be part of the solution.By understanding the land, its ecosystems, and human impacts, we position ourselves to respond thoughtfullyand intentionally to the challenges of a changing environment.
