About the event

ree

We are thrilled to invite you to an exclusive tour of the newly completed wildlife corridor project led by Wilder Landscape Architects in partnership with the Pima County Regional Flood Control District. This is more than just a site visit, it’s a rare, on-the-ground look at landscape architecture and ecological design in action.

Project Overview

Located along the east bank of the Santa Cruz River, just west of I-10, the newly constructed Wildlife Ramp modifies the steep levee slope of the flood control system to create a gentler, more accessible passage for local wildlife. This is the first phase of a visionary linkage between wildlife populations in the Tortolita Mountain fan and those in the Tucson Mountains, enhancing connectivity across a fragmented landscape.
