During these difficult economic times it is more important than ever to become involved in creating new paths that move us forward. One of the ways that your chapter is helping is through advocacy for several legislative initiatives defined by our National ASLA officers and trustees. Currently we are advocating for increased funding the Historic American Landscape Survery(HALS) and the newly introduced Complete Streets Legislation. Eventually the chapter will be providing updates and downloadable PDF's for these initiatives. Until then, please visit the National ASLA website for more information.
At the local level, we will be highlighting issues for you to get involved with and help grow the profession. Please check the website for updates as we move forward with additional local advocacy issues. Lastly, I want to thank each and every member who participates in legislative alerts and works with their elected officials to improve the profession.
