Smartscape, an affordable training program for nursery and landscape professionals, is coming to the West Valley for the first time! Classes for the fall 2010 session will be located in Avondale from September 14 to October 5, with the last class on October 7 held at the Glendale Xeriscape demonstration garden.

Smartscape covers important topics in the landscape industry related to water. With more consumers these days looking to save money with low-water-use plants, Smartscape training is a great way to boost your business by gaining the skills necessary to build and maintain beautiful Smartscapes. Professionals at every level can learn more about the design, installation, and maintenance of water-wise landscapes with engaging classes taught by experienced instructors.

Graduates of Smartscape can also be included in an online directory maintained by the Arizona Municipal Water Users Association (AMWUA). The directory is another tool to market your advanced training and skills to consumers.
